Dr. McQueary, a urologist, received the award April 14. The Physician of the Year award honors physicians who demonstrate professionalism, integrity, a collaborative spirit and a positive attitude. “Dr. McQueary is a gem,” one nominator wrote. “We appreciate him so much in the Outpatient department. Dr. McQueary maintains a high level of integrity and genuine interest in his patients’ lives. He is very approachable for questions and concerns and is always willing to educate the staff when needed. His patients love him. We are very blessed to have Dr. McQueary here at Lake Regional.” “Dr. McQueary is the most committed physician I have ever met,” another nominator wrote. “He goes above and beyond for every one of his patients and co-workers. He is always willing to see patients, even if his schedule is full. He is always putting his patients first. Face shields for the front lines Thousands of masks donated Camdenton First Laser 3284 Robotics Team 3-D printed 250 face shields for the staff at Lake Regional, along with ear savers. The Robotics Team also provided the face shields to other lake- area medical providers and first responders and even troops stationed in Afghanistan. Extraordinary generosity Lake Regional Health System opened drive-thru testing sites for COVID-19 in Osage Beach on March 30 and in Lebanon on April 7. More than 650 tests were completed by April 30.
