Calendars are avail- able only while supplies last. Virtual health seminar On Nov. 4, Lake Regional hosted a virtual seminar on time- critical diagnosis education. The seminar featured speakers from various health centers throughout Missouri. In total, 110 health care professionals from three states and nearly 50 cities attended. Walk to End Alzheimer’s Lake Regional was proud to sponsor the 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease on Oct. 25. Participants walked as individuals or small groups within their own communities and raised more than $11,000 for the care, support and research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association. Lake Regional also filled the Nichols Roundabout with pinwheel flowers in honor of employees who have a connection to the disease. Rad tech blanket project Every year, Lake Regional radiologic technologists celebrate National Radiologic Technology Week with a project to make blankets for Lake Regional Cancer Center patients. Hospital and community volunteers support this effort, which annually provides more than 100 blankets to Cancer Center patients. Greater Ozarks Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (GOCAPS) students were excited to receive their official scrubs, donated by Lake Regional Auxiliary. GOCAPS is a program that provides yearlong immersive experiences to high school juniors and seniors. Lake Regional is hosting six GOCAPS students for job shadowing this year. GOCAPS Scrubs Day
