LAKE REGIONAL NEWS CAREER CAMP EXPERIENCE Every summer, Lake Regional invites students between the ages of 10 and 14 to a two-day Career Camp at Lake Regional Hospital. The students learn about careers throughout the health care field and gain hands-on experience through job shadowing and lifelike scenarios. Here, Alvin Lawson, a certified surgical tech, explains the uses of various surgical tools. AHEAD OF THE GAME Lake Regional performed 610 free sports physicals for middle school and high school students this spring at Camdenton, Crocker, Iberia, Macks Creek and School of the Osage. Lake Regional staff pictured at the Camdenton event are Mitch Shields and Emily Scheiderer.
